about us
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Perth Ebenezer Pentecostal Church is a Malayalam Pentecostal church located in Perth, Western Australia.
We are a Pentecostal congregation having our roots from Kerala, the southern part of India. Having been brought to the land of Perth and longing for the same spiritual fellowship and strong foundational doctrines, we like-minded believers come together to worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness.
We believe that fellowship through a Church among believers is essential to lead a successful Christian life so whether you are looking for a Pentecostal Church to attend in Perth or just visiting Australia, we welcome you to our church. Our church comes together every Sunday and Friday under the leadership of Pastor Mathew Tharian who has been serving the Lord for over 25 years.
Pastor Mathew Tharian was born on February 21 1953 in a Marthomite family in Kerala, India. During his young age he had lived as a communist leader and it was while he was studying for his degree that he gave up his political career. In a gospel meeting, through Evg. John Channapetta’s message, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personnel Saviour and on May 29, 1981 he was struck by the Holy Spirit in a Pentecostal fasting prayer.
He got married on September 30, 1982 and on September 7, 1984 he took water baptism and God enabled him to be baptised in the Holy Spirit on March 4, 1985. Fourteen years after committing himself to Christ on November 3, 1994, he received God’s calling into the ministry which was corroborated by prophecies from two servants of God. Hence, his pastoral ministry started on September 9, 1995, in Ebenezer Pentecostal Church (IPC) in Dubai, UAE and he remained as the pastor of that church for almost 6 years before migrating to New Zealand by mid 2001.
While in Auckland, God enabled Pastor Tharian to study in The Bible College of New Zealand and he also pioneered the first Malayalam church, Ebenezer Pentecostal Church in Auckland on June 22, 2003. By the end of 2007, Pastor and his family moved to Australia and started Ebenezer Pentecostal Church in Brisbane. Due to his secular job requirements, he moved to Perth and hence founded Ebenezer Pentecostal Church (IPC) in Perth, Western Australia on October 30, 2011 and has been shepherding the church ever since. God has blessed him with a wife and three children who support him in the ministry.
His obedience to the Lord’s call for the ministry has been motivated by ““ because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day(2 Timothy 1:12)” and “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me(Philippians 4:13).”” He also firmly believes that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”(2 Timothy 3:16).

The Holy Bible consisting of sixty-six (66) books including the Old and New Testament, is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to Man, concerning the will of God in all things necessary to our faith, conduct and salvation, so that whatever is not contained therein is not to be enjoined as an article of faith (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:15-17).

» The Lord’s Supper consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the wine, is a memorial of His sufferings and death and a prophecy of His second coming, and will be enjoined by all believers, “until He comes” (Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 10:16,17; 11:23-32).

» The Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of His great commission; and that a divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry have the two fold purposes of evangelization of the world and the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22,23; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; Mark 16:15-20; Ephesians 4:11-13).
